Busy and quiet seasons

Hi, my first post on this forum. I am going to be in LV in late September and wondered if that is a busy or quieter time. Does LV have a high and low season? Thanks.

Busy and quiet seasons

Hi and Welcome! This is definitely the place to get first hand information on a variety of topics that help make your trip a more pleasant one. Now, on to your question.

I have been to Las Vegas several times, usually in September, although I have been there in March, April and June. Las Vegas is a popular site for conventions so if there are a lot of conventions in town, it can get very busy. September has been generally pretty good - not too busy. March and April were much busier.

There is a website you can check to see what conventions are booked and where:

Also, another site I look at for things like hotels being renovated or construction is:

Las Vegas doesn%26#39;t have seasons per se like some other resort areas. As a general rule Winter (Dec-Feb.) is slowest but this doesn%26#39;t mean every week. But as a general rule this is when you will find the lowest rates.

This is followed by Summer (July-Aug) when there are more families but still fewer people than Spring or Fall. This also leads to bargain periods rate-wise.

Late September will be a good time to visit. Kids are in school and the weather is starting to cool off, so it might not be too oppressive. But it won%26#39;t really be quiet by any means.

Thankyou both for the info. I%26#39;m really looking forward to going.
