Security Tapes

Hello there,

Just wondering to know how long hotels in Las Vegas keep their security tapes? Do they archive or destroy them after a certain time period?

I believe we lost a ring in a lobby or elevator area and just wondering if I can confirm that with a hotel security department, just want to know and move on...

Not a chance that you will get a tape from the casino from October 2008. Much less last week. They won%26#39;t do it.

waspkiller, the OP isn%26#39;t asking to *have* the tape, just asking the hotel security to look at it. Though I agree it%26#39;s unlikely they%26#39;d keep the tapes that long, it doesn%26#39;t hurt to ask.

They may have the tapes, but they have to know what they are looking for.

If so, I would think it would be hard to locate a ring - then what if they do - where is it now? If someone else picked it up, how would you find out how to locate that person?
