Sort of Newbie questions?

Hello I have not been in Vegas for 9 years so I am sort of a newbie and I have several questions if anyone can help it would be great

We are staying at the Marriot Grand Chateau- What are your opinions for anyone who knows the property?

We used to get a coupon/discount book when we went any idea if this is still available and if there are more than one which is the best one to get, I remember the one we got we paid I think around $20 but it included many coupons 2 for 1 and also 2 free show tickets. I think I ordered from a newspaper or magazine in Las Vegas but I can’t be sure, any help would be great.

Is Valet still free just need to tip? At the Casinos?

Do they still give free drinks when you gamble?

What are some good clubs to go to nothing overrated, just a fun place where you can dance and have a fun night preferably no Techno Music?

Thanks so much I know that is a lot of questions

Sort of Newbie questions?

Well, you%26#39;re staying at a timeshare property that%26#39;s pretty new. There may not be too many folk here who have stayed there. The location is pretty good, though.

Drinks are still free when you gamble.

Sort of Newbie questions?

I own at the Chateau and really love it. Its just off the strip enough to avoid the obnoxious crowds and noise, but close enough to be IN the obnoxious crowds when I%26#39;m ready. Its beautifully appointed, but do not expect it to have room service, etc. The conceirge is great and can help you find anything you want...within reason. The pool on the roof is small and perfect, and rarely crowded. There is an exercise room, but let%26#39;s face it I%26#39;m there to forget to exercise. :) The rooms (depending on what you have) have cooking facilities, and a fridge. I couldn%26#39;t think of a better place to stay.

Good luck on the clubs...I was completely non impressed...they were full of super young prom dress type wearing folks standing in line for hours for the privilege of spending WAY too much on drinks. If you want just a basic place, ask the local bar tenders where the servers go to play...that%26#39;s always a good bet.

I did have a great time at the show I went to though...La Rev at the wynn.

Good Luck!

For coupon books you can pick up the American Casino Guide from www.americancasinoguide.com or buy.com it includes plenty of 2/1 coupons and if buy.com has it in stock and you use google checkout for the first time you get $10 off.

You can also look at www.lasvegasadvisor.com and look at their POV, many people on here use either one of these or both.

Valet is still free, but do tip them.

Can%26#39;t help you with clubs or the hotel you are staying in.

Thank you all for the responses

If you haven%26#39;t been in Vegas in 9 years, I%26#39;m guessing you%26#39;re probably over 30. :)

I would guess that the Vegas club scene is similar to South Beach in terms of expense and manufactured exclusivity. Jackcolton.com is often recommended here as a good source of the current happenings, including which clubs play what music on which nights.

If that%26#39;s beyond you, and you%26#39;re open to a bit of cheese factor, then you might be interested in the following:

Carnaval Court @ Harrah%26#39;s;

Cleopatra%26#39;s Barge @ Ceasars;

Eye Candy Lounge @ Mandalay Bay;

VooDoo Lounge @ Rio;

Polly Esther%26#39;s @ Stratosphere;

Fontana Lounge @ Bellagio;

any casino lounge offering live danceable acts.

Thank Tony5969, yes you guessed over 30 :( I am just looking for somewhere where you can just have fun chill out, I don%26#39;t know if such places exist in Vegas but you know maybe a live band not having to get all dressed up how about dual piano bars are there any?

There are dual piano bars at NYNY, Harrahs and I believe paris. I liked the Paris since it is small and not crowded, NYNY is insane with people and Harrahs was crowded.

I like sitting in the food court at NYNY and listing to the piano players, very loud.

I am one of the ones who does like the Dueling Pianos at Harrah%26#39;s- especially when the twins are there. It is always a lot of fun. And if you don%26#39;t like what you hear- just step outside and you will be in Carnaval Court- another fun place.

how do I get $10 off on buy.com, I don%26#39;t see that when I click on the google checkout. Thanks
