I%26#39;m looking for five cent video poker in/near MGM Grand, primarily.
I know about the lists of full pay VP, but figured that there must be some five cent (any penny?) video poker that aren%26#39;t full pay and are the odds so terrible on the strip?
Thanks

Yes, VP paytables on the strip are stingy. Especially oat the nickle level.
Availability is good however. Most machines are now multi-game and multi denominational. you can play at any level on most machines nowadays.

I just did a search. the Coast casinos; Orleans, Gold Coast, Sam%26#39;s Town, etc, still have $0.05 video poker.
At The Orleans you can find them around The Alligator Bar, close to the registration area.
You can find nickel VP all over the strip. They tend to be multiple hand machines, though. Just go to places with lots of penny slots and you%26#39;ll find it.
I guess I don%26#39;t know what multiple-hand means (that you can ONLY play more than one hand at a time, necessitating more than one bet (5c, say) per time?)
I also saw the list where the off strip ones are--but I had wanted to ask the kinds of cheap stakes VP on the strip (even if they were stingy...I figured there had to be cheaper ones).
Multiple hand means that instead of merely betting one hand of VP, you have the option of betting several hands VP at once. I am not the right person to explain how it works. Most nickel VP would be 50 play or 100 play machines. Fewer hands than that would usually involve more gimmicks.
Merkles, there are a bunch of nickel/quarter/dollar (you choose the denomination) one-hand-at-a-time video poker machines at Monte Carlo, right near the Vegas Blvd. entrance near the bar. I%26#39;ve had great luck on those, even got $50 jackpots for 4 deuces a couple of times, yay! I%26#39;ve played for hours on $10 on a couple of those machines. You won%26#39;t get rich playing the nickel VP%26#39;s but they do make your money last longer, that%26#39;s for sure, and drink service is pretty good on these machines since it%26#39;s close to the bar.
The only penny ones I%26#39;ve seen are multi-hand machines, but you can play one hand at a time if you want on some of those. I%26#39;ve forgotten where I saw those penny VPs though. I think NY/NY had a penny 100-hand play machine now that I think about it.
Monte Carlo and NY/NY are right across the street from MGM. I%26#39;ve never had much luck on the nickel poker at MGM though, but they do have some.
