THE Hotel or Wynn?

Struggling to decide between THE Hotel at Mandalay and the Wynn. I like the idea of a real suite and access to MB pool, restaurants, bars. I like the location and greater ';newness'; at Wynn. Thoughts/suggestions?

It sounds like you are familiar with the pluses and minuses of each place.

I love the big rooms at THE Hotel but I%26#39;d go with Wynn. It%26#39;s just a much more upscale place.

I agree, you seem to know the plusses and minuses. THEhotel has the better rooms,pool %26amp; arguably bars. But everything else is better at Wynn.

From a personal viewpoint, THEhotel used to be our 1st LV choice but now we prefer Wynn. But part of the reason is because we are VP players, and that is MUCH better at Wynn.

One thing I will mention is that the suites at THEhotel have an extra 1/2 bath, which matters to some.

All things considered, hard to go wrong with this choice.

I%26#39;m sure I%26#39;ll be happy either way; both are a big upgrade from anywhere I%26#39;ve stayed before.

If it matters to anyone offering advice, we%26#39;re a 40-ish couple escaping kids and life in general for a couple of days mid-week in mid-to-late April.

Prices are more-or-less comporable. So is Bellagio, but I%26#39;m pretty sure a room at the Wynn will top a standard Bellagio room.

Again, thanks for any and all advice; I%26#39;m torn.

I have stayed at both. If you are looking to get away from kids, then I would go for Wynn. They only allow strollers for hotel guests. The pool at Wynn is nice too.

Wynn location is better.

Wynn for the location. I love MB but it is sooo far south.

I used to love TheHotel - still do except for one feature - kids! The MB pool is overrun with them (as are many pools in LV). The Wynn for us, my family is there now - it%26#39;s not new, you do know this? Encore is new.

Wynn tower is our preference.

We stayed at the Wynn last trip and we will probably stay there for all future trips as well! Great location as well as great food, casino and service. Although the resort rooms are not suites they are a nice size and the washroom is gorgeous!

I am a THEhotel guy, while the location of the Wynn is great it is still too much of a tourist attraction and is over run with lookie Lou%26#39;s. I love the quiet of THEhotel.

I love THE Hotel bc is further away from the heart of the strip--but we rent a car so it%26#39;s not such a problem. Love the extra 1/2 bath at THE Hotel. Only problem is the crowds down at the pool, full of children--my biggest minus. What if you spent 1/2 your trip and one and 1/2 at the other??
