Anyone ever been to Krave at Planet Hollywood?

Going to Vegas in July with a group of guys (mid-20%26#39;s) and we were interested in going to Krave. What kind of vibe is it at Krave and how are the drinks priced? Is there usually a cover/dress code?

Anyone ever been to Krave at Planet Hollywood?

I dont do clubs but I was there for a show in Jan. The decor seems rather plain, disappointing by Vegas standards. My guess, it%26#39;s a budget priced place with a relaxed dress code.

Anyone ever been to Krave at Planet Hollywood?

I saw some pictures of the outside and it looked like it is the only part of the Plant Hollywood Resort that hasn%26#39;t been updated from the old Alladin facade. I was really hoping it%26#39;d nice, considering it%26#39;s the only gay club on the strip...

The fact that they spell Krave with a K is your first tip-off as to how cool this club thinks it is. I%26#39;ve been twice. The second trip was many months after the first, and I%26#39;d hoped it would be a different experience from the first, but it wasn%26#39;t. The place is high-tech, very slick, expensive (the cover was $20!) and attitudinal, from the ironically personality-free door ';personnel'; to bar staff to the cliquey visitors (locals dominate and there%26#39;s a definite community pecking order). You%26#39;re on the Strip, sort of, so drinks are expensive. It%26#39;s a little dressy, again, you%26#39;re on the Strip, but anything is acceptable, it seemed. The layout is confusing, with narrow, crowded walkways and lots of dead ends and elite booth/sofa/lounge areas that must be paid for and therefore those areas are also closed off. The experience for the shows is different because the dance floor is used for seating, and people are not cruising around the place during a performance (the place is used as a show theater during the day and some evenings, and those are separate experiences from the club). Go, give it a try and throw a little Buffalo %26#39;tude if necessary. I had a great time because I determine my mood, I don%26#39;t allow the place to do so. At least from a social-science observation point of view, I enjoyed the place. Maybe it%26#39;s changed a bit during the past year, or not. Go discover for yourselves while you%26#39;re there and have a great time, and don%26#39;t forget Gypsy, Piranha, 8 1/2, Good Times and the many other clubs.

You know there is a whole gay centric little zone in Vegas by the Green Door in the same shopping center with Lotus of Siam behind the Sahara. It%26#39;s a bit I would say hardcore. I%26#39;m not gay so I don%26#39;t know what goes on but these places seem like places to do a lot more than just meet and dance.

Aw C%26#39;mon Snidely, it%26#39;s 2009. If you%26#39;ve been in these places it%26#39;s OK...how else would anyone have a clue that whatever places you%26#39;re talking about ';seem like places to do more than meet and dance';? You could tell by driving past and looking at the parking lot?

Come out come out wherever you are! :)

Actually, yes. You can tell by just sitting in the parking lot. You really can.

I always love it when someone responds to a post that has to do with gays and the poster feel it is necessary to make it clear they are NOT gay (not there is anything wrong with that!). lol

In this case it is relevant. I am trying, in my typical manner, to help people on this forum have the best trip in Vegas that they can. Perhaps the OP did not know about the strip center behind Sahara was a hot bed attraction of the alternative lifestyle demographic. I did not know this except I went to a show at The Rack with my lovely wife last year. We were the only breeders in the theater. My point is that I don%26#39;t know what goes in these places, I%26#39;m merely giving the information to the OP. Perhaps they know and can make the appropriate decisions for their vacation.

There was quite a bit of activity in the parking lot...
