Taking my mom to Vegas for her birthday and made reservations at Paris. Any tips would be appreciated for room upgrades or show tips.
Paris Las Vegas
Without knowing your ages, likes and dislikes, and when you%26#39;re goiing to be in Vegas, it%26#39;s hard to answer well.
I%26#39;ve eaten at the St Louis Cafe and the Paris buffet and found both to be outstanding
Shows for me....
Depending on when you%26#39;re going, Cher or Bette Midler at Caesars
Love is a great show at Mirage
Rita Rudner at Harrahs is clean and hilarious (Though dirty wouldn%26#39;t offend me)
Tom Jones was good at MGM
I still want to see Phantom at Venetian
Jersey Boys was very good at Palazzo
Paris Las Vegas
Thanks - for the last few years - I have taken her to Vegas for her birthday when she hit 60 yrs. We have enjoyed each trip - we have stayed at Monte Carlo, Venician and Harrahs. We enjoy doing the day trip tours around the area - seeing shows at night and gambling in the late night / early morning hours. We are always looking for a good deal!
I think you%26#39;re going to love Paris. We%26#39;ve stayed there twice and are going back in June.
Have you seen ';O'; - it%26#39;s spectacular.
Loved Jersey Boys.
BIG ELVIS (an afternoon free show) at Bill%26#39;s Gambling Hall is great.
Rita Rudner and Danny Gans were both great shows.
Enjoy your trip and mom%26#39;s birthday.
P.S.
Forgot Terry Fator - he won the America%26#39;s Got Talent competition and is fabulous.
Hello LA-girl,
I would reccommend that if you booked a regular room to ask for a p-suite when you get there. It is a corner room with more windows...better view and it is more spacious. There shouldn%26#39;t be any extra cost for this upgrade.
Another thing would be to have dinner at Casa di Amore and have their limo come and pick you up at the hotel. That would be a nice surprise for her.
Have fun, Nicaribbean
Great - I have been reading many nice things about this hotel. My mom plays alot at the Harrahs in New Orleans and did get us 2 nights free along with a very discounted rate on the last night. Has anyone gotten access to the Le Rendezvous Concierge Lounge located on the 31st floor - is it worth it to try and get this whether a reward or to pay for it?
She might enjoy Menopause the Musical at the Hilton. I thought it was hilarious! You can probably get discount tickets at Tix2Night
She loves Elvis - that is a great idea. I wonder if they have any other Elvis shows beside the one in the Legends Concert at IP (we always go and see that and love it)
My DH and I paid for an upgrade with the concierge lounge. It was $65 a day for both of us. We did this on two separate vacations Oct 08 %26amp; Jan 09. We loved it. We ate our breakfast %26amp; dinner there everyday. We would have a big lunch somewhere else. It worked out great for us. DH hates to wait in line especially in the morning. They basically have the same thing every day. Breakfast - yogurt w/granola %26amp; fruit plate, cheese plate, bagels, croissants, danish, cereal, bananas, coffee, tea, bottled water, etc. Then for dinner (or what they consider munchies) _ cheese plate, fruit plate, a large sub sandwich, different kinds of sliced breads, peel and eat shrimp, and one or two warm dishes - pasta, perogis or chicken on skewers, pop, milk. Oh, and I forgot the yummy desserts! Also 2 alcoholic drinks per person. I don%26#39;t drink much and I think I only had one glass of wine in 5 days, but still thought it was well worth it. It definitely saved us money. We would do it again. The first time though we were on the 26th floor and just had to hop in the elevator and go up 5 floors. In January though, we were on the 19th floor and had to take the elevator down to the ground floor and get on a different elevator to go up to the 31st floor. I would just make sure next time that we are in the same tower or wing or whatever they call it. Didn%26#39;t mean to write a book.
