Can anybody explain how does guest list in the club works?

Hi everybody, I am kind of new to the club scene. I am just wondering some clubs take guest lists. I am wondering what does that mean? Is there any extra charge other cover fee? and does it grantee you a spot? Thank you very much.

In my experience (Playboy club and ghostbar @ Palms; HOB Foundation Room @ MB) entry is free, and you skip the line.

I assume you are guaranteed entry, as long as you are dressed appropriately (I saw people being turned away from HOB, even though they were on the list, because they were wearing jeans and sneakers)

Thanks for the info. That really sux, i seem people wearing jeans into the club tho, or fancy jeans only ? lol

Depends on how much you grease the doorman. Enough money and anything can be guarenteed.

Jeans aren%26#39;t an issue in and of themselves...what kind of jeans, how you have paired them. Dark ';dressy'; jeans will work for guys %26amp; gals. NO tennis shoes (unless you can buy your way in). Guys, dress shirts (no tie) and dress shoes will cause you no problems. Sometimes the hip print tees are fine, if you are a really hot guy or you are willing to buy your way in...so if you stick w/ the dress shirt/shoes you won%26#39;t have to worry if you are dressed OK.

Girls...sky is the limit, for the most part. Any trendy look will get you in...dresses, skirts, dressy jeans %26amp; a cami...just look current, and you are fine.

My thought has always been if you have to tell someone how to dress for a club, than they probley aren%26#39;t getting in. You are either club trendy or not.

Most jeans can be anywhere fron $50 to $500 per pair.

Most club people wear the $200-$350 a pair variety.

Nordstrom Rack always has good choices for $175-$200 jeans that are always marked down to $69-$99.

They might even look at the label to see if they are OK for the club world. lol

This will lay it all out for you.
