Please can anyone tell me what March madness is? We%26#39;ll be at the Mirage from 16-23 March, so would like to know.

In the states, college basketball is very popular, and at the end of march there is a gigantic 64-team, 6 round tournament to determine the national champion. The first two weekends, especially, are very exciting as there are tons of games on at all times. Its a great time to be in Vegas as there are so many games to bet on.

If you like basketball, you should really enjoy it. Many basketball fans actually find the college game to be much more enjoyable than the NBA. The players are playing for pride, and they show so much more heart than 20 million dollar superstars. Not to mention, there are usually lots of exciting finishes, as well as underdog teams that everyone can root for.

You would enjoy it,it goes from 64 teams down to 32 to the Sweet 16 then the Elite 8 then Final 4 to the Championship.

Its the best sports tournament in the non professional stage in America. Families have been known to feuding big over it. lots of fun to be a part of.

When I first saw this question, I thought, ';This person must not be an American!'; I see that you are from London, so it makes sense that you ask. The Men%26#39;s College Tournament, aka March Madness, is easily the best tournament in American sports. The NFL Playoffs is the only thing that rivals it.

16 games from 12 noon Eastern Time to about 12 midnight first day, same thing second day, 8 games third day, 8 games fourth day. That is just the first weekend. If you like sports at all, particularly basketball, it is a must-watch event. That%26#39;s why all the sports book in Vegas are overflowing during the first weekend.

And it%26#39;s also a GREAT time for the men to go to Vegas and have a GREAT time and get away from the wives/girlfriends for a few days!!!! I%26#39;ve gone a few times and I%26#39;m going again this year, and of course, the wife won%26#39;t let me go and is all mad about it! Oh well......
