Single Woman Traveling Alone - Where to Stay

I have an event in mid-April just west of the city to attend but don%26#39;t necessarily want to stay at the event hotel. I see better deals at hotels on the strip or near it. Is it safe for a single woman to travel to Las Vegas alone and where should she stay? Safety is a major concern. I%26#39;ll have a rental car, too, so parking will be a concern, too. Any suggestions?

Single Woman Traveling Alone - Where to Stay

I have traveled many places when I was single including Vegas. As a young woman, I have always loved going to Vegas because of all the shopping, spas and pools and have never felt uncomfortable staying and traveling by myself. Parking at all of the strip hotels is nice because you can either self park or valet park and just tip the valets. When going to clubs or to casinos in the evening I would always valet park so I would not be alone walking out to my car. Vegas is a 24 hour town so the casinos can be busy at all times of the day and night.

Valet is essentially free anywhere on the Strip... in terms of ';safe';, you%26#39;re dealing with a massive amount of people packed into one place. As long as you aren%26#39;t on the back streets at 3 AM by yourself flashing money around, I can%26#39;t see you having a problem really anywhere.

price for the hotel stay, exact dates, amenities you desire - tell us all of the above for appropriate suggestions.

parking at major strip hotels is free - use the valet, tip accordingly.

Absolutely safe to do. I have done it numerous time. Even my mother, who is the biggest fraidy cat ever, feels safe there alone.

I don%26#39;t know exactly what you%26#39;re looking for in a hotel, but in terms of safety, you%26#39;ll be fine. Just use the appropriate amount of caution you would at home.

I%26#39;ve gone to Vegas twice solo, once with a rental car. I don%26#39;t find it any different (safety wise) than traveling around at home.

I do like using Valet parking more than walking through the parking garages alone, though.

First off Use VALET if you have a car.

I have been to vegas several times alone - to meet friends but stayign alone. I have stayed at Paris,Rio, TI, Trop %26amp; IP. Honestly I was never really nervous or anythign at any of them, I would say IP was the most nerve racking as the walls are paper thin. I would recommend TI Or paris if you want to be on the strip but RIO is nice with giant rooms if you dont mind being a little OFF the strip.

Vegas is an odd place. Where else do people routinely leave $hundreds of dollars lying around on a table while they leave to take a bathroom break? Unless you take a tour of the White House, you will never be in a place where more security is watching your every move. Don%26#39;t worry about it.

';...you will never be in a place where more security is watching your every move...';

your every move is NOT being watched, whoever thinks this is mistaken and foolhardy.

yes, casinos are monitored, and some public areas.

I just got back from Mandalay Bay and I think it would be perfect for you. Close enough to a few other casinos/shopping but far enough away to feel like you are not in the midst of it all 24/7. I went with my sister-two young girls on our own and we felt quite safe.At times we split up and ate on out own and noticed many others were on their own, too.

Be alert and confident and you%26#39;ll be fine! Have fun!

I have went solo several times. I feal very safe, and love the areas at, Flamingo and Golden Nugget. I just feal that these to places are my home when traveling solo.
