Lake Tahoe on July 4th Weekend

I am going to Tahoe this summer to celebrate July 4th weekend. Any recommondations on where to stay? North or South of the Lake?

Budget is probably around just $150-200/night... maybe a condo for 4?

If you choose to stay on the north shore, note that Fireworks are held on July 3rd in Squaw Valley, Tahoe City, Kings Beach and Truckee. They will be on the 4th in Incline Village.
