Swimming in April?

Do you think it will be possible to swim in April? I see that most of the hotel pools are open

Swimming in April?

If the pools are open and filled with water, it is certainly possible to swim in April.

Was this a trick question?

Swimming in April?

I have been 2 years in a row in mid-April and been able to swim each time. In 2007, though, it was very windy. We had a cabana reserved and they were not in use the day we had reserved for, they asked us to come back the next day and all was fine then.

You can never be sure though. Come prepared for sunshine days, but also be prepared for rainy, windy days too.

Good one Dave

Hi

We have been in April a few times. Yes it has been warm enough to swim alot of the time but some days it was a bit cold/windy.

The temperature is usually warm enough to swim in April, but as mentioned in Spring the wind can be a problem. If you are staying for any length of time you will certainly have a few nice pool days.

But choose your hotel wisely. All the hotels won%26#39;t have all their pools open. Most notably the lazy river at MGM is not open in April during the week. And it looks like the pool at Caesars will not be open in April.

The temps can vary a great deal. You will have better luck at the end of the month than at the beginning of the month. The average high temps- 75/low 80s. But the highs can range from the 50s/60s to the 90s.

Bring a bathing suit and hope for the best but understand that even if the temps are high if it is cloudy and/or windy you may not want to go in the water. But you can always sunbathe and/or use the Jacuzzi.

Can be unpredictable on a given day but you%26#39;re much more probable to be able to swim than not swim. Would not lose sleep over it.

As vp says, there%26#39;s a big difference between early April and late April. Your best bet is to check the forecast a few days in advance and pack accordingly.

The averages show mid 70%26#39;s for April. I guess it depends on where you are from and the weather you are used to. 75 is our average high for the middle of summer so low 70%26#39;s is definitely swimmable for me. The weather in Vegas earlier today predicted a high of 72.

Its like they throw a switch for the hot weather and boom it is there, for sure March is not a pool month but you have a shot in April, May is usually perfect pool weather
