I thinking off going to LV for my 40th birthday this August %26amp; don%26#39;t know which hotel to pick - thinking of along the lines of Ceasers / MGM / Luxor or similar.
Which would be best for pools %26amp; adults travelling without kids?
Thanks
Which hotel for 40th B'day trip?
Depends on your budget. We stayed at the Venetian last August for my big birthday because we got an offer we couldn%26#39;t refuse. lol
There are some great deals now. What is the absolute most you would want to spend per night?
Which hotel for 40th B'day trip?
I%26#39;d got a strict budget in mind, looking at spending around £1,000 per person for 6/7 nights but that will be including flights from UK (which are round £500-600). Unfortunately all the direct flights are with hotel %26amp; flight combined deals...
Sorry previous reply should have read NOT got a strict budget in mind.......opps
Not sure what your conversion rate is right at the moment...what%26#39;s that translate into dollars?
Is this your first trip?
Off hand, maybe look at Mirage. Friday and Saturday prices will be higher.
Yep 1st trip.
Conversion is approx £1 = $1.4
Any tips %26amp; suggestions welcomed....
Hmmmmm...
Looks like you need a room averaging around $100 a night?
Know that here in the U.S., many schools are out in August, so kids are hard to avoid.
You can get MGM for that price, but because their pool is so great with the lazy river, (Temps could be over 100) it%26#39;s going to have kids.
Mirage has a great pool, and might be had for that price, or close to it.
I%26#39;m thinking Caesars, Palace or Augustus Towers are going to be a little more pricey.
Not familiar with Luxor%26#39;s pool, but can be had for this price range.
I say Mirage =)
Agree, Low....Great location, great pool, one of the most popular hotels in Vegas....can%26#39;t go wrong...especially with the promos available now.
Check the rates with this promo, Racmar..

Thanks for the suggestions.
I%26#39;m willing to pay more if the hotel is worth it...
And not completely anti kids! LOL Just don%26#39;t want a real kid oriented hotel if poss..
Can%26#39;t see any reason you%26#39;ll be unhappy at the Mirage.
The promos available make the Mirage a DEAL. Personally, I%26#39;d get a nice room in a nice hotel (like the Mirage) and spend the extra money that you COULD put into another hotel/room type into a show, shopping, etc.
You%26#39;ll be surprised how little you stay in your room. Basically, we go there to shower and sleep then we%26#39;re gone again. Seriously!
