Christmas Present for $150 - Bellagio room ro something else

I need advice from boys!!! (and girls!)

When we were last in Vegas, hubby was blown away by Bellagio and loved the fountains etc. We are going back over Christmas and staying elsewhere but I was thinking that for a Christmas present I could book a room at Bellagio on Christmas eve and make it a surprise.

I%26#39;ve found a deal that gets me a partial lake view for $141.

Do you think this is worth it, or is there anything else %26#39;vegas style%26#39; I could get that would be a better idea in terms for value for money/memorability?

Many Thanks

Only other hotels that might blow him away would be Wynn, Encore, Palazzo or the Four Seasons. However, since Bellagio is the one that blew him away, I%26#39;d do that. Otherwise, both of you might later think, %26#39;what if.%26#39; Go ahead and book the room but do so directly with the hotel. Then about 2-3 months before your departure date start checking the Bellagio website and also www.smartervegas.com for specials/promotional codes. If something cheaper turns up, just contact the hotel and change your reservation to the new lower rate.

Thanks for the message - I didn%26#39;t realise you could change the rate!

To follow on from what Gabby said, Christmas is a great time for deals in Vegas and rates will almost certainly be lower than now closer to the time. No problem to get your rates lowered if you book direct with Bellagio. Make sure you check out a day or so before New Year%26#39;s Eve when rates will go up dramatically.

I would also seriously consider a Deluxe Lakeview room rather than the partial in order to get the full on ';Bellagio experience';!

If it%26#39;s me, I%26#39;d rather not move over to the Bellagio for one night. I%26#39;d rather spend the money on a nice dinner at one of the restaurants overlooking the fountains.
