Hoover dam tour

Anyone been on one of the bus tours to Hoover dam from Vegas? Is it worth it. We won%26#39;t have a rental. Have been numerous times to Vegas just haven%26#39;t gone to the Dam. Any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks

The dam is amazing and well worth a visit, especially at the moment as you can see the freeway thats being constructed between the cliffs nearby.

A bus tour would take you there at the busiest time though and the whole place becomes a bit of a mad-house, can you not hire a car for the day? the drive is ridiculously easy and you could get there before all the buses turn up and experience the dam without the hoards of people, you could book yourself on the first tour of the dam and museum and be back on the strip in time for lunch!

Thanks that is good advise. We have a friend who lives in Vegas maybe he could loan us his vehicle for the day or take us. I really didn%26#39;t want to get on one of those busses. Maybe we will just rent one and be back by lunch. Thanks

the bus tours aren%26#39;t bad, they pick you up at your hotel and usually stop at a few other places besides Hoover. I would recommend to look for a coupon though for a discount.
