Is Red Garter Really that bad?

I had to get a room here for 8/16 for a comedy show and I did not realize that speed week was the next week until I had already bought the show tickets. So, Red Garter was all I could get. Do I need to take a sleeping bag and a Bottle of Clorox or someting? LOL ;)~

I had to stay there once: it was very, basic like a Motel6 (it might even be a Motel6)... While it didn%26#39;t have any amenities at all, it was clean. My biggest complaint was the smoke in the room and hallways.

As far as the actual Casino, it%26#39;s a total dump: old machines, carpet being duct-tapped down... it felt like a renovated chicken coop.

Thanks Frinau... I definitely wasn%26#39;t expecting the Bellagio! Specially since it was the last joint in town! We really aren%26#39;t that picky. Just a bed %26amp; bathroom that I dont have to wipe my feet off on the way out will suffice. I%26#39;ve been in some seedy Vegas joints but I%26#39;ve always scored one of the the major hotels in Bendover. My wife is still bringin the camping gear (LOL) but Motel 6 will seem like the Bellagio after a couple of drinks!

By the way, the chicken coop comment had me ROFL!!!

I have been staying and gambling at the Red Garter for the last 16 years. It used to be my favorite (we called it the red regarder.) It was always run down, but reminded me of downtown Vegas. They used to have $2.00 single deck BJ, $1.00 awsome turkey sandwiches, easy to obtain food comps, and the friendliest dealers and pit bosses in town. They went though a couple different owners and things went downhill over the years. I have not ever seen any kind of real renovation or upgrade to the place.

As far as the rooms go, I have had good clean rooms with excellent service and one room that someone blew their nose all over the wall and the maid went through all my stuff.

Although I no longer donate any of my hard earned money to the Red Garter, I belive you will find the room acceptable for sleeping purposes. Note: The rooms at the Red Garter do not have telephones, but do have a TV.

I stayed at the Red Garter once.Seedy rooms and the security lock on the rooms door was broken and a drunk across the hall from us tried to pick me up.I would not stay there again.Stayed 2 nights because car broke down in Wendover and room wasn%26#39;t ready for us even though it was after 6pm.They have a $2.99 breakfast special there that is pretty good though.

I was working over there in cashiers cage once upon a time, in 2005, and everthing was simple but clean. But the business was going down when I was over there. maybe they couldn%26#39;t make enough upgrade druing these years.
