The police turn a blind eye to public drinking on Las Vegas Boulevard.

But if you get stoopid ... they will bust you.

There is no open container law in Vegas. You can%26#39;t drink in an automobile but you can drink openly on the streets.

It seems to be allowed--at least in the last 30 years that I have been visiting.

No problem- unless you are stupid drunk.

Funny story about walking around with a beer in your hand......

My husband and I are frequent visitors to Las Vegas but a few years ago, we went down to Las Vegas with 2 other couples who had never been before. One day we were leaving our hotel to grab a cab downtown when one of the guys realized he had walked out of the casino with a beer in his hand. As the cab pulled up my friend turned to guy at the cab stand and said ';What do I do with this beer? Can I take this with me?'; The guy said ';Sir, this is Las Vegas...you can do pretty much anything here.';

Reminds me of a sign I saw placed over a cooler full of beer ';It%26#39;s O-K to drink in the streets - Beer $1'; Vegas is a wonderful place!

Yes its ok to have liquor in the streets, just dont bother anyone else or do stupid things like running around in traffic and you will be ok.
