Hi everyone
I just booked the palazzo hotel for $129 on Hotwire for period 21-23/8 - look%26#39;s like a great hotel and i%26#39;m very happy with that price. They also have the Wynn for $149 p/n.
I tired to book the saturday as well but it wouldn%26#39;t let me... so if anyone knows of any decent hotels in the area that are ';a great price'; please let me know.
Happy hotel hunting! :)
Cheers, Jas.

I%26#39;m glad you think you got a great deal but there%26#39;s no way I would recommend booking a Vegas hotel for a trip that%26#39;s close to six months away using Hotwire or for that matter any other third party.
They%26#39;ll be lots of great deals to be found by booking direct for August when hotels start releasing promotional rates closer to the time. By booking using Hotwire you%26#39;re locked into the rates you%26#39;ve paid with no possibility of cancelling should you find a better deal elsewhere. Hotwire sometimes has great Vegas deals for last minute booking but I wouldn%26#39;t personally commit myself so far in advance of a trip.

G%26#39;day mates!
the dates are actually 21st and 22nd May 2009 - i forgot that date format is oppoiste to what we do it downunder!!!
So yes, I agree that booking 8 months in advance on hotwire/priceline is not a good idea but with 3 months to go, and the exchange rate falling quick, I couldnt find a better price for this hotel.
Hotwire can be an advantage when your not from the US and want to lock in a ';good'; exchange rate.
If anyone knows any good deals for the 23rd May (Saturday night) can you please share them
Cheers, Jason.
Jason, I%26#39;m originally from the UK so I%26#39;m more than familiar with dates being written in the format you use in Australia. It%26#39;s just that August is the eighth month of the year however you write it!
Back to your trip in May. May 23rd is the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, one of the busiest holiday weekends of the year in Vegas and even in the current economic climate you%26#39;re unlikely to find really great deals for then. It%26#39;s possible that you may have to lower your sights and stay at a hotel not quite up to the standards of Wynn or Palazzo for that one night.
