Regular Flamingo Rooms

Hey everyone, I looked through all of the old posts about the Flamingo but would like a more recent review. My husband and I are visiting in April and can get 5 nights comped in a regular room (not a Go room - but do hope they might upgrade us when we get there???) Anyway, how are the regular, older rooms? Any good views? We may go to the pool a few times, so this is a plus - but would a bigger room at Bally%26#39;s or Paris be better? We don%26#39;t need swanky...just a clean room %26amp; shower.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Regular Flamingo Rooms

Flamingo Deluxe Rooms are fine. Basic Holiday Inn. Very clean 3 star rooms. You will have to pay for Go Room Upgrade but it may be only $20 per night depending on occupancy. They usually don%26#39;t give this upgrade free.

Regular Flamingo Rooms

Most of the regular rooms have been renovated, but some have not. The ones that have been renovated are fine. Very basic and very adequate. I have stayed in a regular room many times. The ones that have not been renovated can be a bit questionable. When you check-in, be sure to ask for a renovated room

Also, the rooms that face the Strip (even the ';regular'; ones) have fantastic views of Caesars and Bellagio. As long as you%26#39;re on the 10th-12th floor or higher.

I was wondering the same thing! Online, a GO room is about $80 - $100 more, I don%26#39;t know whether to book the GO room or book a regular room and ask for an upgrade once there... I think I%26#39;ll just book the GO Room because even if I pay $20 US a night it works out to be about the same... I love TA :) So helpful!

If that%26#39;s what you%26#39;re looking for, basic and clean room, then you%26#39;re fine. Nothing wrong with Flamingo, it%26#39;s a fun casino.

We just returned from LV and stayed in the Flamingo deluxe room - 10th floor strip view. It was clean, great view and suited our purposes for the money. We were more interested in being out and about.

If this were a romantic weekend away and I didn%26#39;t mind splurging, it would be the Bellagio or the Venetian for me. It jost wasnt%26#39;t that type of trip this time.

Bottom line - I think you will be happy with the Flamingo deluxe rooms with the strip view.

We stayed comped for 2 nights in August at the Flamingo; we found the regular room very drab and lacking of color. Quite depressing.

We called room reservations and they upgraded us to the GO deluxe the next day at $40 per night. It was well worth it IMO.

Starz

I was wondering about this too and on a post someone replied that a Delux room with a stirp view would cost more per night but I don%26#39;t see a deluxe strip view room listed. Sorry to highjack but does anyone know if this is true?

Stay at the Flamingo at least once a year, great for guys weekend in regular room, especially the renovated ones. Wife wouldn%26#39;t agree on the non-renovated rooms, a bit dated and stained. Can%26#39;t beat the price and the location is the BEST. Great pool too. I nicely asked for a view last year accompanied by a $20 and got a great view of the fountains, enjoy...

We stayed at the Flamingo in Jan. in a regular room with a great strip view of Caesars. We did not pay any more for the view. The room had a new bed and bedding and a new chair. The rest of the room had older furniture and the old gold carpet which seems to be standard in these rooms. The room was clean. This room was pretty high up, 20th floor or something like that. We%26#39;ve had better luck with the rooms on the higher floors. If you get a room that seems to be truely hideous ask for a different one. Rumor is that some rooms exist on lower floors that actually have old blue shag carpet that predates the incredibly old gold carpet. Now that would be scary! If you going to use the pool, stick with the Flamingo. It has the best pool of the three.
