i am coming in the summer with my wife and 3 kids 15,12,12

1 Which are the recomended hotels (with a pool) with this lot

2 Which shows are recommended?

3 we are interested in doing a helicopter\airplane tour (with possibly rafting) of the grand canyon. There are a lot of companies on the net. Which are the best?

For hotel, I would suggest MGM for your family. They have a wonderful pool area with a lazy river, the kids will love it. If not there, then try Monte Carlo, they have a lazy river as well.

As Gabby posted MGM is wonderful i would add Mandalay bay with lazy river and wave pool I know Monte Carlo is mentioned but there is a lot of construction going on right next to the pool area from city center. What ever you do stay away from Circus circus very much a dump

i would look at mandalay bay mgm or monte carlo for the pool alone whatever you chooses have a great trip

Hi, In regards to rafting, you can do the Colorado River flat trip, below Hoover dam through Black Canyon and add the interesting tour of dam a great way to spend the day http://www.blackcanyonriveradventures.com/.

For a more particapatory trip you can rent kayaks and do that calm river stretch or kayak on Lake Mead see http://www.kayaklakemead.com/ or Jerkwater Canoe.

But if you really want an adventure with some fun medium level whitewater, you might consider the one-day trip in the Grand Canyon or even the longer 3 day trip that includes a night at a dude ranch near the rim. Both are great trips for kids and well worth your time as there is nothing like the Grand Canyon anywhere else in the world. both include helicopter trips into or out of the canyon as well!
