(Flights booked)
Boys weekend away for 4 nights. May 13th to May 17th.
We haven%26#39;t booked our hotel yet, although we are leaning towards booking T.I.
Great location and decent price.(Around $424 US for 4 nights).
Should we book now, or should we wait another month and see if the room prices come down any?
What are those travelling in May doing in this situation?
Thanks for all the valuable information I have received from folks on this forum. I%26#39;m am going well prepared to Vegas this trip with the wealth of information I%26#39;ve obtained!

Those Going in May ...when are you booking your hotel room?Have you checked www.smartervegas.com for promotional codes? If so and you have not seen any yet, keep checking back. I think you might be able to get a better rate than you quoted for 4 nights at TI. Also, are you locked into wanting to be at TI or were you consider other hotels as well? In that price range you could probably get Mirage and I know you could get MGM. Just trying to help you maximize your $$$.
Those Going in May ...when are you booking your hotel room?We%26#39;re going the first week in May and have already booked our room. I would book now directly with TI, and then watch the room rates. If they go down you can always call or email TI to ask them to lower your rate. If you wait to book and the rates go up you probably won%26#39;t be too happy!
Hi Gabby,
Thanks for the response!
No, we are not fixed on staying at T.I. We would like to be around centre strip.
We%26#39;d also like a place with a variety of bars/lounges/clubs/restaurants (all in the same complex, preferably).
I think both Mirage and MGM have what we are looking for.
So your advice is to hold off a while longer. No problem.
Yes, I have smartervegas as a favourite. I check it just about every day.
We%26#39;ll keep looking.
Thanks.

we%26#39;re going may 17-23
we booked 2 rooms, one at Thehotel and one at Bellagio.
Got an outstanding rate at Thehotel, so we booked there first. But I saw good rates at Bellagio so I booked that too. Not sure which one we%26#39;ll pick. Still waiting to see if I get offer from Bellagio before I decide.
LuvVegas,
This is the dilemma we%26#39;re running into....some say book now..some say hold off.....
As are most people, we are just looking for the best deal...as gabby put it, we want to maximize our $$$$$.

We are going in May and just booked at Harrah%26#39;s properties.
Are all 4 staying in 1 regular room at TI? We stayed at TI last Sept for a couple of nights. The beds and comforters were great. Bathroom decent size. Closet very small and room didn%26#39;t have much %26#39;moving around%26#39; space. I%26#39;m sure there are larger rooms as we were in a standard room but thought you might want to take that into consideration.
Looks like your trip is over Fri/Sat night so your rates probably are going to be a little higher. But as others said. You can book now, direct with hotel, and as long as you read the fine print to be sure it%26#39;s not non-refundable/no cancellations, you can rebook as the rates decrease (hopefully they will decrease).
Have a great trip.
lol sorry, hit reply too soon
yeah, i am one of those that obviously books now when i see a good offer and then cancel or change as i get better offers.
If you book direct you will have no problem changing a reservation or canceling one ... just make sure that the promo you book is refundable... i know one TI promo was non refundable.
GL!
im going mid june and have already booked my hotel room, i saw the rates drop, but it only totalled $12, im spliting the trip witha few people so its not worth it. the sooner the better but keep checking prices they may bottom out and the hotels are usually great at giving you the best price if you call back.
hope this helps
