which hotel has the best pool

Some friends and I are taking a guys trip to Vegas for the first time later this summer. A few of us are interested in lounging poolside, enjoying adult beverages and the sights. we want to stay on the strip. which hotels have the best swimming pools? do any of them have swim up bars or anything along those lines? thanks a lot in advance, I greatly appreciate it.

Mandalay Bay. They actually designed the pool before designing the hotel. Multiple pools, including an adult pool, a large beach where they have summer evening concerts, a wavepool, and a lazy river.

What ktinca says is true, but it%26#39;s also true that the MB pools attract a lot of children especially during the summer when school is out. Additionally, MB is all the way on one end of the Strip which may be less than ideal for a first time visit.

I would look at MGM and Flamingo which are also known for their elaborate pool complexes. MGM in particular has a large adult-only pool area which might appeal to you.

avoiding kids would be nice, i need a break from my own, which is why i am going on this trip. any hotels have a swim up bars?

Above posters are correct. I would however choose the Mirage if I were choosing based on pool. The other pools are nice but for the location of the Mirage on the strip is the best. It is very nice has a very nice bar very close and even in the summer I have not seen very many kids. Most days the pool gets a little more loose as the day goes on. The late risers get up and start to have their cocktails. Have Fun

Avoiding kids and nice pool Mirage wins hands down …wordpress.com/2008/…

If you want to avoid kids go to Wynn, they will have less than anyone else. They also have an adult pool with no admission charge.

No swim up bar, but they do have a large bar with gaming tables. And of course waitresses provide service throught the pool area.

My husband and I love the pool at Caesars Palace. We have stayed at Caesars at least 10 times and seldom see kids by the pool. They have an adults only pool that includes European sunbathing.

They also have beautiful cabannas to rent for the day, which include private chairs, a fridge filled with soda and water, your choice of a huge fruite plate or veggie plate, a dining table, a color TV, water misters to spray you on super hot days, and private lounge chairs. Oh, I forgot to mention that you would have a cocktail server assigned to you, and can use the phone in the cabanna to order room service to be delivered and served to you, in your cabanna.

If you don%26#39;t rent a cabanna, the chairs and couches around the pool are wonderful. The cocktail servers are very attentive. They also have servers walking around to feed you frozen grapes.

If you want a swim-up pool bar, I believe that Tropicana has one. Not as elegant as Caesars, but I%26#39;m sure it gets wild and crazy!

I agree with ktina, Wynn pools are great. If you stay in the Tower Suites you can use the VIP pool and the main Wynn pools. In the summer the European pool has a DJ and is lots of fun. Be sure to reserve a cabana.

Pools and summer means you need to decide if having kids around you is a problem. If not, then Mandalay Bay or MGM would be good choices.

If you want something more adult-oriented, then Mirage, Bellagio, Wynn/Encore or Flamingo would be good to check out.

I%26#39;ve enjoyed the ';sights'; particularly at Bellagio and Flamingo.

Depending on how many your group is, consider springing for a cabana. Nice to have the option of some shade in the summer, plus the couches, fridge, TV, etc, makes the whole thing much more fun.

I think everyone has made some excellent points. I just happen to really like the pools at the RIO. I like being able to go from pool to hot tub with ease. I like the pool area at the RIO best then the Luxor. I think you would also get the best eyecandy at the RIO, but please do not hold me to that.
