Can anyone tell me approx. what the exchange rate fee is at the cage at MGM? I am going down in two weeks and will have to buy USD using CAD, and was wondering if I could get a better rate at the hotel then I can here before I leave.
Around here I would be paying probably between 2% and 2.5%

hubby called mgm yesterday to check rate as we are leaving sunday for vegas. he was told the present rate is 29 cents on the dollar.
He receivid the same rate here at the local back(in ontario).hope this helps

I am not really interested in the actual rate, as this changes from day to day and hour to hour. I am more interested in whatever markup MGM charges.
IE, when they say their ';rate'; is 29%, that includes a surcharge of something - either 2%, or 3%, or 1.5%, whatever.

We had this topic a while back and I called some of the casino cages and found out it was cheaper to exchange here.
The difference was about 5 bucks on the hundred
